The Border Collies on the farm help with the everyday chores, holding the sheep off during feeding, moving the sheep to different pastures, sorting them into various feeding groups and other management chores. The Border Collie originated from the border regions between Scotland and England some 500 years ago and is bred for its ability to herd and manage livestock.
